History of Genocides

The Holocaust was the largest genocide in history. This slideshow will introduce you to some other genocides and give you information for each.

UN SDG- How I support

The UN SDG (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) are 17 goals that a group of 193 countries(United Nations) hope to achieve by the year of 2030. I have begun using less water and turning my lights off everytime im not in room. This goes in support of goal 13, Climate Action. I hope that in the future I could make donations to the A.C.E.I (Association for Childhood Education International). I believe that given the amount of time I have, I can make a considerable change in the world.

What I Learned About the Presidential Race

Through classroom examination of election issues and the candidates, I learned about many issues. One is that the U.S. has not formally declared war on ISIS yet. I learned that we have been fighting ISIS, however we haven't declared formal war. Another fact I learned is that there are more that two parties. I only thought there was Republicans and Democrats, however I learned of two others, Libertarians and Greens. Lastly I learned that there are more than two candidates running for president (In Massachusetts). Before examining the issues and candidates I thought there were only two candidates, Trump and Clinton. However after examining the issues I learned of two other candidates, Stein and Johnson.

Questions/Search Reflections

We should use both open and closed questions because we get important information from both types. Open questions allow a long and in depth explanation that may have other answers. Closed questions provide one short and exact answer. For example if you wanted to know ¨Did George Washington have wooden teeth¨ that would be a closed question because there are only two possible answers, yes or no. Now say you wanted to know ¨Why did George Washington have wooden teeth?¨ then that would be an open question because there could be multiple answers.

We should use Google search tips because they allow us to obtain better and more exact information when using Google. For example, when searching for something on Google that has other names or synonyms you could use the OR search tip to search both at the same time. Or you could use the ¨-¨ to get rid of any unwanted words in your results EX: Chocolate -cake.
